(Press Release — September 22, 2023) Hospitality tech company ONDA is teaming up with Gyeongju City to offer accommodation discounts aimed at revitalizing tourism in the historic city.

On September 22, ONDA and Gyeongju City launched a ₩30,000 accommodation discount promotion to celebrate the release of the mobile tourism app 'Gyeongju-ro ON.' The discount applies instantly at checkout for bookings of ₩50,000 or more, and is available to all registered Gyeongju-ro ON users.

The promotion runs through September 26 on a first-come, first-served basis. All accommodations listed on Gyeongju-ro ON are eligible, and stays can be booked through September 30 — including the Chuseok holiday period.

Gyeongju-ro ON is an integrated smart tourism platform developed after Gyeongju City was selected for the Korea Tourism Organization's 2022 Smart Tourism City initiative. The app is operated by the Gyeongju Smart Media Center and offers booking and payment for accommodations, restaurants, experiences, and transportation, alongside tourism content such as audio guides and docent tours.

Gyeongju City plans to refine the Gyeongju-ro ON app and boost its adoption rate while expanding its tourism content offerings.

ONDA provides real-time booking access to over 40,000 domestic and international accommodations through its accommodation commerce builder, BookingOn, for local government services that need lodging inventory. The company is currently in talks with multiple municipalities to support regional tourism growth and domestic travel activation.

An ONDA representative said, "This special discount was made possible through the full support of Gyeongju City. We hope this promotion will help more travelers discover the city's excellent accommodations at compelling prices."

ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering approximately 60–70% of Korea's online room transaction market. The company has built strong partnerships with global tech giants, including being named Airbnb's first Premium Partner in Korea and Google Hotels' first domestic partner.

ONDA also made history as the first Korean company to be named to Skift's global PMS vendor list, ranking 34th. The company was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn program in 2022 and Baby Unicorn Plus in 2023. It has also been named to the Financial Times' 'High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific' list for two consecutive years (2022–2023).
