Hospitality Tech Company ONDA Hits Record Daily GMV

- ONDA reaches all-time high daily transaction volume of KRW 1.3 billion

- 3x year-over-year growth, combining proprietary solutions, Google Hotel transactions, and special promotion sales

- Plans to expand beyond accommodation digitalization into direct-to-consumer (D2C) services

Hospitality tech company ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) announced on the 18th that it achieved its highest-ever daily transaction volume.

On April 8, ONDA crossed KRW 1 billion in daily GMV for the first time since its founding, recording KRW 1.3 billion. This represents a 3x increase compared to the same period last year, combining transactions through ONDA's sales distribution solutions (GDS) for hotels, pensions, and pool villas, as well as Google Hotel-based D2C (direct-to-consumer) sales.

Typically, the accommodation industry peaks in July and August during summer vacation season. But ONDA credits its record performance to the "2022 Korea Accommodation Fair with ESG," which launched on April 7.

ONDA operates the country's largest distribution network, connecting approximately 35,000 domestic accommodation properties to 35 channels both domestically and internationally through its proprietary technology.

The company also offers an Online Booking Solution (OBS) that maximizes online room sales efficiency, and provides Korea's only D2C service integrated with Google Hotel, positioning it as a fast-growing player in the global hospitality space.

Moving forward, ONDA plans to develop diverse solutions that expand the industry structure beyond digitalization into D2C territory, seeking new opportunities as a growth partner for the domestic and international travel and accommodation industries.

"We achieved this record-breaking performance because we've spent the past seven years relentlessly researching and developing technology for the advancement of the accommodation industry," said CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We'll continue working in lockstep with professionals in the travel and accommodation sectors to create an environment that maximizes operational efficiency."

ONDA is Korea's first hospitality tech company to simultaneously operate an Online Booking Solution (OBS), accommodation product distribution (GDS), and hotel management (HM). Currently, more than 34 companies—including Yanolja, Yeogi Eottae, Naver, Coupang, 11st, Airbnb, Agoda, Hotels.com, and Expedia—secure distribution channels through ONDA. <end>
