Hospitality Tech Company ONDA Expands to Thailand and Taiwan
- ONDA launches proprietary hotel and accommodation SaaS in Thailand and Taiwan
- Plans to scale across global hospitality markets including Japan, China, and Vietnam
- Local-first approach with native language support and tax system integrations
Hospitality tech company ONDA is ramping up its global expansion with software built specifically for hotels and accommodation providers.
ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) announced on the 11th that it has launched its proprietary hotel and accommodation SaaS platform in Thailand and Taiwan.
Within a month of entering these markets, ONDA signed service agreements with multiple hotels and local chains for its Online Booking Solution (OBS), Property Management System (PMS), and Korea's largest booking engine (BE). The company is now in discussions with additional local chains representing 30 hotels and over 4,000 rooms, rapidly gaining traction in the local hotel and resort industry.
Hotels currently using ONDA's solutions have given positive feedback on the efficiency of room sales and ease of reservation management. They're also excited about the exclusive Google Hotels partnership, which lets them attract Korean guests with zero commission fees.
Going forward, ONDA plans to expand across Asia — including China, Japan, and Vietnam — with systems optimized for each market's language and tax requirements. The company will also attend the International Hotel Technology Forum (iHTF) in Madrid, Spain from April 27–28, where it aims to connect with global hotel chains in Europe and North America and accelerate its push into the worldwide hospitality tech market.
"Overseas hospitality markets face even bigger challenges than Korea — poor network infrastructure, outdated systems," said Lee Chan-min, Head of ONDA's Global Business Team. "We're bringing localized solutions to each country and leading the digital transformation of the global hospitality industry."
ONDA is Korea's first company to simultaneously operate Online Booking Solutions (OBS), Global Distribution System (GDS), and Hotel Management (HM) services. Over 34 companies — including Yanolja, Yeogi Eottae, Naver, Coupang, 11Street, Airbnb, Agoda, Hotels.com, and Expedia — currently use ONDA to expand their distribution channels.
