OaTec Completes Unmanned System for Small to Mid-Size Hotels

- OaTec finishes one-year R&D push after ONDA acquisition to build fully integrated unmanned system

- System covers sales, operations, and guest experience in one platform

- Now live in ~300 small to mid-size hotels, 17,000 rooms

(Press Release — May 24, 2024) OaTec, a hotel solutions provider focused on small to mid-size properties, has completed an all-in-one unmanned hotel system that spans room sales, operations, and guest experience.

OaTec (CEO Lee Seung-jun) announced the launch of OA PMS 2.0 on the 24th, rolling out integrated services that tie together PMS (property management system), ONDA HUB (online sales distribution), and OA IoT (remote management for keyless door locks, kiosks, phone keys, etc.).

OaTec is a subsidiary of hospitality tech company ONDA. It was established in early 2023 when ONDA acquired the accommodation ERP division of Oasis Story, positioning OaTec as a specialist in solutions for smaller hotel operators.

OA PMS 2.0 is a cloud-based PMS with major upgrades to core features — reservations, room status, reporting — and user experience. It also integrates seamlessly with OaTec's unmanned operation tools and ONDA HUB, the parent company's nationwide online distribution network.

OA IoT, which syncs with OA PMS 2.0, includes kiosks for self check-in and walk-in guests, keyless door locks that send encrypted passcodes directly to guests' phones, and power control systems that automatically manage room electricity based on check-in and check-out times — all remotely controlled.

When used to its full potential, the system lets small to mid-size hotels run front desk operations completely unmanned.

Finally, ONDA HUB — powered by parent company ONDA — connects hotels to ~50 major domestic and international sales channels with a single contract. Hotels that sign on as online wholesalers can hand off room sales entirely to ONDA, eliminating the need to run their own reservation desk.

"About 300 small to mid-size hotels and 17,000 rooms are now going through digital transformation with OaTec's products," said CEO Lee Seung-jun. "We're committed to making OaTec the one-stop solution that takes hotel operations off your plate." <END>
