(Press Release — Oct 6, 2021) ONDA, a hospitality tech startup, has secured a pre-Series B round and strategic investment from premium lifestyle brand Ananti.
ONDA, a B2B platform for the hospitality industry, announced Wednesday it raised ₩9.5 billion in pre-Series B funding led by KB Investment, Capstone Partners, G&Tech Ventures, Now IB Capital, and Korea Investment Partners. KB Investment doubled down after leading the Series A.
Founded in 2016, ONDA is Korea's first hospitality SaaS company to operate across four verticals simultaneously: property management system (PMS), global distribution system (GDS), hotel management (HM), and a managed brand, SoTA Collection.
The new capital will accelerate digital transformation across hotels, resorts, and guesthouses. ONDA is preparing to launch ONDA PMS 2.0, designed to help partners thrive in the contactless era accelerated by COVID-19.
ONDA PMS 2.0 will feature significantly enhanced D2C (Direct-to-Customer) capabilities and integrations with emerging sales channels like Google Hotel. Seamless IoT integrations — including digital door locks — will streamline room operations and distribution.
ONDA is the first Korean company to be named a Premier Partner by Airbnb, the world's largest short-term rental platform. It's also the first domestic partner of Google Hotel, the search giant's accommodation discovery and booking service. Global tech leaders are taking notice of ONDA's capabilities.
With this funding, ONDA plans to recruit top talent and execute systematic, sustainable service enhancements. To help a fast-growing team stay laser-focused on "hospitality innovation," the company is launching a dedicated People & Culture team to prioritize employee experience.
ONDA also secured strategic investment from Ananti, Korea's premier luxury resort and lifestyle company. The two are collaborating on a next-generation PMS and digital transformation initiatives to deliver differentiated guest experiences.
"We're thrilled to back ONDA again — the best hospitality SaaS company in Korea," said Jang Sang-hyuk, Managing Director at KB Investment. "ONDA is uniquely positioned to lead the digital transformation of Korea's hotel industry."
"This pre-Series B success is thanks to the partners who believe in us and the hardworking team who made it happen," said ONDA CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We'll become the most trusted tech partner for hotels and lodging businesses navigating the challenges of COVID-19."
