(Press release — June 24, 2024 / Monday) ONDA's real-time accommodation booking solution is growing fast.
ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) announced that its accommodation commerce builder "BookingOn" has surpassed 20 clients and 50,000 bookings one year after launch. The company is in talks with multiple enterprises, municipalities, and associations, and expects to exceed 40 clients by year-end.
BookingOn is a solution that lets any company needing to sell accommodation integrate real-time booking into their web or mobile platforms. Once fintech, e-commerce, or mobility platforms deploy BookingOn, they can immediately start selling lodging to their user base.
BookingOn clients can curate from ONDA's inventory of 40,000+ properties—hotels, resorts, guesthouses, pool villas—across Korea and abroad, tailored to each platform's audience. The service supports flexible integration via ASP (Application Service Provider), API (Application Programming Interface), and other methods. A key advantage: it plugs into existing loyalty points and payment systems seamlessly.
BookingOn has posted steep growth since its Q1 2023 launch. Q1 2024 gross merchandise value (GMV) was up 607% year-over-year and 66% quarter-over-quarter.
As major platforms expand booking features as part of their super-app strategies, ONDA plans to accelerate BookingOn enhancements. The company also aims to sustain domestic travel momentum by supplying quality properties and exclusive promotion deals.
Current BookingOn clients include ▲OK Cashbag ▲T-Map ▲The-K mall (teachers' co-op) ▲Gyeongju-ro ON ▲Gukmin Club ▲Dogmaru ▲Video Monster ▲Wasseo Ulsan ▲WeB4U (labor welfare co-op) ▲Ildandeona ▲Comca Mall (Korea Music Copyright Association)—spanning B2C commerce platforms, closed/welfare malls, and municipal tourism services.
Kim Jin-seong, B2E Director at ONDA, said, "BookingOn's strength is flexible integration—clients can launch a booking service that feels native to their UI/UX. We'll keep doing our best to supply the 40,000+ quality properties in ONDA's inventory."
Meanwhile, ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering roughly 60–70% of Korea's online room transactions. It's a Premier Partner of Airbnb and Trip.com (the first Korean company to earn those distinctions), and a 2024 Booking.com Advanced Connectivity Partner—testament to strong ties with global tech giants.
ONDA also made Skift's Global PMS Vendor ranking at #34—the first Korean company on the list—cementing its status as a global hotel tech leader. Last year it was selected for Korea's SME Baby Unicorn Plus program. The Financial Times has named ONDA to its Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies list three years running (2022–2024). <End>
