(Press Release — March 16, 2023) ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok), a hospitality tech company, announced on the 15th that it has been named to the Financial Times' High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2023 list for the second year running.
The FT High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2023 list is compiled annually by the Financial Times and global research firm Statista, using metrics like compound annual growth rate (CAGR) among others.
ONDA redefines time and space in the hotel and lodging industry through technology. The company earned a spot on the list again this year, following its 2022 debut.
The FT noted, "Three years into the COVID-19 pandemic, Asia has emerged as a key driver of global growth. While tech companies still dominate, the list features greater sectoral diversity this year thanks to rising foreign investment."
ONDA's core business is ONDA HUB, an integrated distribution platform. It's Korea's largest online sales network for hotels and small lodging properties — connecting over 40,000 partners and approximately 500,000 rooms to more than 40 major domestic and international OTAs in real time. The network includes global giants like Agoda, Airbnb, and Trip.com, as well as leading Korean platforms like Naver, Coupang, Yanolja, and Yeogi Eottae.
In February, ONDA also began supplying Korean inventory to Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International's premium home rental platform — making it easier for inbound travelers to discover Korea's best accommodations.
Recently, ONDA expanded beyond distribution into hotel operations by supplying Dive, its hotel- and resort-focused PMS, to a major Korean resort chain and a Vietnamese proptech company — broadening its digital transformation footprint from online sales to on-site management.
CEO Oh Hyun-seok said, "We're honored that the Financial Times — one of the world's most trusted business publications — has recognized ONDA's growth for the second consecutive year. This year, we'll take the hotel tech expertise we've built in Korea and compete with top-tier hospitality tech companies globally."
ONDA was also selected for Korea's SME Ministry Baby Unicorn Program last year and became the first Korean company to appear on Skift's Global PMS Vendor Rankings, debuting at #34 — cementing its place as a frontrunner in the global hotel tech market.
