(Press Release — March 13, 2024) Hospitality tech company ONDA is joining forces with the Gangwon Province Rural Minbak Association to drive sustainable growth in the region's accommodation sector and boost tourism.

ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) signed an agreement on March 13 with the Gangwon Province Rural Minbak Association (President Jeong Hye-sook) to provide real-time booking services on Ildantteona, Gangwon's integrated rural accommodation booking platform. The service, built on ONDA's hospitality commerce builder BookingOn, is set to launch at the end of this month.

Ildantteona is Korea's first public-private partnership accommodation app, developed jointly by the Gangwon Economic Promotion Agency and the Gangwon Rural Minbak Association. The platform reduces commission and advertising burdens that often weigh on small accommodation businesses, supporting their long-term viability.

BookingOn, which powers the real-time booking on Ildantteona, is a solution that delivers various forms of accommodation booking services to any platform that needs them. Currently, BookingOn runs booking systems for over ten corporate employee benefit malls and local government travel services.

Under this partnership, Gangwon accommodation owners will gain access to ONDA's digital transformation tools — including online duplicate booking prevention and sales consulting with ONDA's pension specialists.

"Ildantteona gives small Gangwon accommodation owners a precious opportunity to connect with travelers without heavy commission fees," said ONDA CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We'll do everything we can to ensure the platform runs smoothly."

ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering roughly 60–70% of Korea's online room inventory market. The company has built solid partnerships with global tech giants, becoming Korea's first Airbnb Preferred Partner and the first domestic partner for Google Hotel Ads.

ONDA also made history as the first Korean company to appear on Skift's Global PMS Vendors list, ranking 34th. Last year, ONDA was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn Plus program and appeared on the Financial Times' High-Growth Asia-Pacific Companies list for two consecutive years (2022–2023). <End>
