Expanding global reach to build direct-to-customer environments for properties and travelers

ONDA Joins Google Hotels — Opening Global Sales Channel for Korean Accommodations

- ONDA secures unique competitive edge through Google Hotels, the world's largest booking search platform

- Google Hotels: accommodation search powered by Google's vast data and technology infrastructure

- Customers search on Google, click through to property's own site — enabling true D2C business models for partner properties

- No OTA middleman means full control over booking, marketing, promotions, and guest relationships

(Press Release — July 22, 2021) ONDA has launched booking services on Google Hotels as one of the platform's first Korean partners.

ONDA, a B2B hospitality platform, announced on the 22nd that it has joined Google Hotels, the accommodation search and booking service powered by the world's largest search engine. Initially launching with 2,500+ properties, ONDA's partner accommodations can apply to join voluntarily going forward. Having built solid trust in the hospitality industry through partnerships with major domestic and international OTAs, portals, and e-commerce platforms, ONDA's entry into Google Hotels — a massive global sales channel — opens up even more opportunities for partner properties.

Google Hotels is an accommodation search service built on Google's vast data and technology infrastructure. It operates as a "metasearch" platform that aggregates information from various booking sites, seamlessly integrating with Google Maps to show property locations worldwide and optimal routes. Thanks to its intuitive user interface, even first-time users can navigate the service with ease.

Notably, it displays room rates for selected dates all at once, making it easy to find the best price. The platform also offers robust filter search capabilities based on big data — from hotel amenities and user reviews to booking prices across OTAs — enabling more refined searches.

Moreover, because Google directs customers from search results straight to the property's own site at checkout, ONDA's partner accommodations can build true Direct-to-Customer (D2C) business models. Direct bookings via ONDA on Google Hotels will roll out within Q3 following testing.

With D2C communication in place, properties bypass OTAs and gain greater business flexibility — more freedom in booking strategy, marketing, promotions, and guest management. This translates into competitive pricing and content differentiation, ultimately delivering better-quality stays and benefits to guests. ONDA plans to provide expert consulting in SEO, online guest engagement, and SNS marketing to help properties maximize Google Hotels' promotional reach and customer acquisition.

"We're excited to partner with Google, whose influence spans accommodations, flights, and activities across travel," said ONDA CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We're committed to building the optimal environment for ONDA partners to naturally connect with guests on Google."

ONDA is Korea's first B2B hospitality platform operating a Property Management System (PMS), Global Distribution System (GDS), Hotel Management (HM), and the managed property brand SoTA Collection simultaneously. Currently, over 30 companies — including Yanolja, Yeogi Eottae, Naver, Coupang, 11st, Airbnb, Agoda, Hotels.com, and Expedia — secure their sales channels through ONDA.
