Beyond room distribution—diversifying revenue with hotel operations solutions
ONDA's New Business Lines Accelerate: ONDA Plus and BookingOn
- ONDA's online room distribution businesses show sharp growth
- Two years of aggressive investment pay off with strong future momentum
- Revenue model diversifies from distribution to operations solutions
(Press Release—October 21, 2024) Hospitality tech company ONDA's new online booking solutions are climbing a steep growth curve.
ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) announced on the 21st that Q3 transaction volume for its online room distribution businesses—ONDA Plus and BookingOn—surged 75.5% and 84.7% year-over-year, respectively. The results cap two years of bold investment that have secured robust growth engines for the future.
ONDA Plus is a solution that connects hotels in real time to over 40 online sales channels—domestic and international—maximizing room sales and operational efficiency. It automatically syncs inventory and rates across traditional channels like OTAs and e-commerce platforms, as well as emerging channels like large-scale platforms and closed corporate/welfare malls—dramatically reducing the workload for hotel reservation managers.
BookingOn is a booking commerce builder that enables any business needing to sell accommodation to embed a reservation service into its web or mobile platform. Currently, around 25 platforms—spanning mobility, retail, and regional tourism services—use BookingOn to offer real-time bookings at roughly 40,000 properties in Korea and abroad.
BookingOn has earned strong reviews for supplying popular overseas properties through direct contracts at competitive rates. The platform is slated to expand into a corporate SaaS for business travel management.
Meanwhile, ONDA is diversifying beyond room distribution into hotel operations and management solutions. The company is accelerating overseas expansion with core SaaS products for hotel digital transformation—including property management systems (PMS) and central reservation systems (CRS). By year-end, ONDA will also unveil an AI-powered revenue management system (RMS) designed to maximize lodging revenue.
"The bold investments we've made since 2022 in hotel room distribution and operations solutions are paying off," said CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We're ready to prove ONDA's competitiveness not just in Korea, but in the global hotel market."
ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering approximately 60–70% of Korea's online room transaction market. The company has built solid partnerships with global big tech firms—earning recognition as Korea's first Airbnb and Trip.com Preferred Partner, and being selected as a Booking.com Advanced Connectivity Partner in 2024.
ONDA also became the first Korean company to be named to Skift's Global PMS Vendor list, ranking 34th—cementing its position as a frontrunner in the global hotel tech market. Last year, ONDA was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn Plus program and has been named to the Financial Times' High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific list three years running (2022–2024). <end>
