(Press Release — March 6, 2024) Hospitality tech company ONDA has officially earned international recognition for its information security standards from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) announced on March 6 that it has obtained ISO 27001 certification — the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) — covering its entire platform ecosystem.

ISO 27001 is the international benchmark for information security management systems established by ISO, and the most authoritative global certification in the information security field. To earn certification, companies must pass rigorous audits by international examiners across 93 criteria spanning four domains: information security policy, technical security, physical security, and administrative security.

ONDA received high marks for its security leadership expertise and cross-functional collaboration — demonstrating that information protection activities can be sustained systematically within its management framework. Since 2016, ONDA has been leading digital transformation in the hospitality industry by developing and supplying proprietary solutions including its booking engine, channel manager (ONDA HUB), and property management system (PMS).

With its recently announced partnership and joint venture with UAE-based Seed Group, ONDA is now positioned to accelerate expansion into global markets — including large hotels in the Middle East. This certification validates that ONDA's systems meet global standards for reliability and security across the board.

"ONDA has invested aggressively in service security, and that commitment has paid off with both PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and now ISO 27001 certification — both global benchmarks," said Shin Myung-joo, Vice President of ONDA. "We will continue investing in world-class information security management so customers and partners can use our systems with complete confidence."

ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering approximately 60–70% of Korea's online room transaction market. The company has built strong partnerships with global tech giants — including becoming Airbnb's first official partner in Korea and Google Hotels' first Korean partner.

ONDA was also the first Korean company to be named to Skift's "Global PMS Vendors" list, ranking 34th worldwide — cementing its position as a leader in global hotel tech. Last year, ONDA was selected for Korea's SME Baby Unicorn Plus program and has been named to the Financial Times' "High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific" list two years running (2022–2023). <End>
