Strategic DT partnership across GDS, RFP, and CRS systems
ONDA Signs Comprehensive Digital Transformation MOU with Josun Hotels & Resorts
- ONDA and Josun Hotels & Resorts forge comprehensive DT partnership
- Optimized booking system tailored to global customer needs
- Strategic partnership elevated across GDS, RFP, and CRS solutions
(Press Release — September 25, 2024) Hospitality tech company ONDA announced today it has signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Josun Hotels & Resorts covering end-to-end digital transformation — from online customer touchpoints to reservation management systems.
Through this agreement, Josun Hotels & Resorts expects to strengthen its position as a global hotel chain leading digital innovation and maximize business performance. ONDA will provide comprehensive solutions and expert support to make this happen.
Josun Hotels & Resorts is actively exploring GDS (Global Distribution System) integration to ensure its diverse properties and room inventory are optimally exposed across sales channels that match global customer booking behavior.
ONDA will connect RFP (Request for Proposal) channels so Josun can participate in competitive bidding for corporate demand, and develop a solution for the hotel to systematically manage the bidding process with corporate clients.
This is expected to help Josun simultaneously expand its global booking customer base and improve operational efficiency.
The MOU also outlines a shared vision for closely linked projects following the ongoing CRS (Central Reservation System) and booking engine development.
The CRS will serve as a unified system managing room inventory, rates, and membership across all Josun Hotels & Resorts properties. Strengthening the connection between the CRS and the website booking engine is expected to create a reservation environment where customers can enjoy various benefits — boosting satisfaction and return visits.
ONDA is positioned to become a key strategic partner in Josun Hotels & Resorts' digital transformation.
ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering 60–70% of Korea's online room transaction market. The company has built strong partnerships with global big tech firms — becoming Korea's first Airbnb and Trip.com preferred partner, and earning Booking.com's 2024 Advanced Connectivity Partner status.
ONDA also ranked 34th on travel research firm Skift's global PMS vendor list — the first Korean company to make the cut — and is emerging as a frontrunner in the global hotel tech market. Last year, it was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn Plus program, and has been named to the Financial Times' High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific list three years running (2022–2024). <끝>
