(Press Release — July 26, 2023) Hospitality tech company ONDA has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' '2023 Baby Unicorn Plus' program, recognizing its global growth potential.
ONDA announced on July 26 that it was selected for the Ministry's 2023 Baby Unicorn Plus support program.
Baby Unicorn Plus picks 20 high-momentum graduates of the Baby Unicorn program and provides additional support to help them reach pre-unicorn status (valuation of ₩100 billion to ₩1 trillion).
The program targets companies with proven innovative business models and growth trajectories, offering intensive global expansion support to build pre-unicorns with world-class competitiveness.
ONDA, a Baby Unicorn Plus selectee, is leading digital transformation in Korea's hotel and hospitality sector — and increasingly, globally — with advanced hospitality solutions. The company has built a product lineup optimized for properties of all sizes: ▲Dive PMS for large domestic and international hotels and resorts ▲Oa PMS for mid-sized hotels and residential accommodation ▲ONDA PMS (working title) for vacation rentals, home-sharing platforms, and small global properties. ONDA is actively expanding into overseas markets with this portfolio.
ONDA's all-in-one solution — spanning online sales automation to revenue management — is drawing strong interest in global markets. Already recognized for its technology in Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan, ONDA is preparing to enter the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Japan, and European hotel markets in the second half of this year.
"We're thrilled to be selected for Baby Unicorn Plus 2023 and to have our growth potential and global competitiveness recognized," said ONDA CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We're approaching this like a second founding — doing everything we can to break into global markets."
ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering roughly 60–70% of Korea's online room booking market. The company has built strong partnerships with global tech giants, including becoming Airbnb's first official partner in Korea and Google Hotels' first partner in the country.
ONDA is emerging as a frontrunner in the global hotel tech market. It was the first Korean company to make Skift's global PMS vendor list, ranking 34th. Last year, it was selected for the Ministry's Baby Unicorn program. The Financial Times has named ONDA to its Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies list two years running — 2022 and 2023.
