(Press Release — May 4, 2023) Hospitality tech company ONDA is making its Middle East debut, starting with Saudi Arabia.
On May 4, ONDA signed an MOU with the Project Management Institute, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PMI KSA) to collaborate on digital transformation projects for Saudi hotels. PMI KSA was visiting Korea at the time.
PMI is a global organization founded in the U.S. in 1969 that provides certification, research, education, and networking for project management professionals. PMI KSA brings cutting-edge project management practices to Saudi Arabia and actively partners with leading global companies through events, seminars, and conferences.
The signing ceremony was hosted by the Korea Proptech Forum and attended by PMI KSA President Badr Mohammed Burshaid.
During a business meeting on May 2, ONDA and PMI KSA discussed Saudi hotel digital transformation in depth. PMI KSA showed strong interest in ONDA's end-to-end digital solutions — from construction to operations — for hotels in Saudi Arabia's ongoing mega-construction projects.
ONDA is also in discussions with multiple Middle Eastern investment firms and hotel groups for joint ventures.
"Middle Eastern countries are betting big on travel as a strategic future industry," said ONDA CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "Just as the Middle East construction boom fueled Korea's growth decades ago, ONDA — as a software company — aims to find new growth momentum in the region."
ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company that covers roughly 60–70% of Korea's online room distribution market. It was the first Korean company to become an Airbnb Preferred Software Partner and a Google Hotel Ads partner, building strong ties with global big tech.
ONDA was selected for Korea's "Baby Unicorn" program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2022, named to the Financial Times' "High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific" list two years running (2022–2023), and ranked 34th on Skift's global PMS vendor list — the first Korean company to make the cut. ONDA is cementing its position as a global hospitality tech leader.
