(Press Release—May 25, 2023) Hospitality tech startup ONDA is partnering with WasseoUlsan, a smart tourism platform, to deliver real-time accommodation booking services and boost tourism in Ulsan.

ONDA has begun supplying rooms to Ulsan Metropolitan City's smart tourism platform WasseoUlsan through its real-time booking solution BookingOn. WasseoUlsan is operated by the Ulsan Tourism Organization. ONDA signed an agreement earlier this year to provide accommodation booking services and collaborate on revitalizing Ulsan's tourism sector.

WasseoUlsan is a smart tourism platform developed after Ulsan Metropolitan City was selected for the 2022 Smart Tourism City Project led by the Korea Tourism Organization. The Ulsan Tourism Organization runs the service. Users can download the WasseoUlsan app, register, and access the platform. It recommends personalized tourism itineraries based on travel preferences—covering accommodations, transportation, dining—and supports five languages for international visitors. WasseoUlsan completed a pilot phase in May and officially launches June 1.

BookingOn is ONDA's real-time accommodation commerce builder, delivering flexible solutions for employee benefit portals, members-only shopping sites, or municipal tourism services. It provides access to approximately 40,000 properties distributed through ONDA HUB. For WasseoUlsan, the service focuses on accommodations within Ulsan.

Starting with WasseoUlsan, ONDA plans to smoothly supply its premium domestic and international accommodation inventory to municipal platforms nationwide, supporting both national tourism growth and regional development.

ONDA and the Ulsan Tourism Organization are also running a launch promotion featuring curated Ulsan accommodation deals and first-come, first-served discounts open to all. Details are available in the WasseoUlsan app.

"We're thrilled to contribute to Korea's tourism ecosystem through the WasseoUlsan smart tourism platform," said Choi Yoon-ho, Platform Division Head at ONDA. "BookingOn will provide exclusive promotional accommodation products to any service that needs real-time booking capabilities."

BookingOn already runs successfully on The-K mall, an education-sector welfare portal serving 890,000 educators nationwide. Service inquiries and onboarding are available through the ONDA website. ONDA is currently in discussions and development with multiple domestic and international companies and municipalities.

ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering approximately 60–70% of Korea's online room transaction market. The company has built strong partnerships with global tech giants—including being Airbnb's first premium partner in Korea and Google Hotel Ads' first domestic partner.

ONDA was also the first Korean company to rank on Skift's "Global PMS Vendors" list, debuting at 34th place and emerging as a leader in the global hotel tech space. Last year, ONDA was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn program and has been named to the Financial Times' "High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific" list two years running (2022–2023).
