TL;DR

ONDA is expanding beyond software into supply commerce, starting with eco-friendly amenity dispensers from Free Idea. The play: integrate IoT inventory tracking with its PMS to cut waste and automate stock for Korean hoteliers.

ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok), a hospitality AI company, announced on the 29th that it's launching a commerce business to supply high-quality amenities and services to hoteliers — starting with a partnership with Free Idea (CEO Woo Jong-man), an eco-friendly amenity solutions provider.

ONDA's new commerce vertical is designed to ease operators' pain points by sourcing essential consumables and F&B supplies for day-to-day operations. As its first move, ONDA is adopting Free Idea's ESG solutions to pursue two goals at once: building a sustainable hospitality environment and boosting operational efficiency.

Under an agreement signed on the 16th, the two companies will combine Free Idea's eco-friendly IoT dispenser technology with ONDA's network and software to unlock synergies.

Going forward, Free Idea's refillable dispensers will integrate with ONDA's property management systems like Pension Plus to enable ▲real-time amenity inventory tracking ▲guest data–driven pattern analysis and response ▲automated stock management. Hoteliers can reduce inventory headaches and run smarter, data-informed operations.

Properties using the system will also position themselves as "eco-conscious hospitality brands" actively addressing the environmental toll of single-use plastic amenities.

"Hospitality is no longer just a service business — it's being redefined as an environmental and data-driven tech industry," said Bang Hye-seon, ONDA's Head of Sales. "Our partnership with Free Idea is a critical starting point for ONDA to become the go-to partner solving hoteliers' hidden challenges, and a flagship example of ESG in action."

Following this collaboration, ONDA plans to continuously discover and deliver products and services that boost operational efficiency for hospitality operators.

Meanwhile, ONDA covers roughly 60–70% of Korea's online room distribution market and is a leading hospitality tech & AI company. It's built strong partnerships with global big tech players — named Airbnb and Trip.com's first official Korean partner, selected as a Booking.com Advanced Connectivity Partner in 2024, and ranked #34 on Skift's global PMS vendor list (the first Korean company to make the cut). ONDA has also been named to the Financial Times' Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies list three years running (2022–2024).
