Ready to compete on technology in the global hotel digitalization market
(Press Release — June 8, 2023) Hospitality tech company ONDA has acquired the hotel PMS division of B2B solution developer Oasis Story. The company also made a strategic investment in a Thai hotel tech firm, positioning itself as a comprehensive hotel PMS provider.
The moves accelerate ONDA's expansion beyond Korea into Southeast Asia, MENA, and Europe.
ONDA announced on June 8 that it acquired the hotel property management system (PMS) division of enterprise solution developer Oasis Story, establishing OaTec, and made a strategic investment in Thai hotel PMS company Hoteliers.Guru.
Through the acquisition and investment, ONDA now offers a complete PMS lineup across every segment: ▲Pension Plus for Korean pensions and small accommodations ▲Hoteliers.Guru for vacation rentals and boutique hotels ▲OA PMS for motels, mid-sized hotels under 300 rooms, and extended-stay properties ▲DIVE for large hotels and resorts requiring customizable PMS solutions.
These PMS products go beyond basic room management. Integrated with ONDA's revenue solutions like ONDA Plus, they deliver innovative distribution automation that traditional PMS couldn't achieve. ONDA says this will significantly boost room revenue, sales efficiency, and reservation operations.
OA PMS and DIVE will be demonstrated at the 2023 Korea Hotel Show at COEX starting June 14.
Oasis Story, the source of the hotel division acquisition, is an IT solutions developer specializing in ERP, POS, and hotel PMS, established in 1998. ONDA acquired the hotel PMS business and established subsidiary OaTec earlier this year. Currently, OaTec's OA PMS and unmanned operations solutions run at over 150 mid-sized hotels and extended-stay properties.
Hoteliers.Guru, founded in 2013, is a Thai hotel solutions company. It has built trust in Southeast Asia by serving over 700 local boutique and independent hotels. Last year, the two companies signed an agreement to distribute partner hotels and resorts to major Korean online channels via ONDA HUB.
That partnership led to deeper strategic discussions, culminating in this investment and a commitment to tackle global hotel digitalization together.
"Most hotels can now handle everything—from operations management to online distribution to revenue optimization—with ONDA," said CEO Oh Hyun-seok. "We'll keep investing in digital transformation technology for hotels and hoteliers."
ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering roughly 60–70% of Korea's online room distribution market. The company was Airbnb's first premier partner in Korea and Google's first hotel partner in the country, building strong alliances with global tech giants.
ONDA also ranked 34th on Skift's "Global PMS Vendor" list—the first Korean company to make the cut—establishing itself as a leader in global hotel tech. Last year, the company was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn program and was named an "Asia-Pacific High-Growth Company" by the Financial Times for two consecutive years (2022–2023).
