ONDA Accelerates UAE Expansion—Testing Solutions with Multiple Hotels
- Joint venture with UAE's SEED Group kicks off operations
- Two years of software development and local network-building pay off
- MENA positioned as core future growth engine
(Press Release—January 9, 2025/Thu) Hospitality AI company ONDA is ramping up its push into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) through a joint venture with UAE's SEED Group.
ONDA (CEO Oh Hyun-seok) announced on the 9th that its joint venture with SEED Group (CEO Hisham Al Gurg), ONDA SEED MENA LLC (ONDA SEED), will complete localization testing of ONDA's hotel solutions in the first half of the year and launch full-scale operations.
Last year, ONDA participated in major Middle Eastern industry exhibitions including Expand North Star and GITEX 2024, showcasing its advanced solutions to leading MENA hotel chains and presenting tailored digital transformation strategies that resonated strongly with the local market.
The company introduced core hotel digital transformation technologies including ONDA HUB (its online distribution platform), Central Reservation System (CRS), Property Management System (PMS), and AI-powered Revenue Management System (RMS)—putting Korea's tech excellence on the map.
SEED Group is the private office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, a member of Dubai's royal family. The group partners with companies worldwide to support business expansion and sustainable growth across the Middle East.
With support from SEED Group and networks built over the past two years, ONDA will complete proof-of-concept (POC) and solution testing with multiple large hotels in the first half and launch full services in the second half.
The MENA region is emerging as a key growth market for leading global hotel chains. ONDA plans to grow ONDA SEED into the region's leading hospitality tech company.
CEO Oh Hyun-seok said, "Over the past year, we've strengthened our local network through participation in events like the Dubai Chamber of Commerce seminars and created additional business opportunities through strategic partnerships. 2025 marks the beginning—real expansion opportunities will open up from 2026."
ONDA is a hospitality tech and data company covering approximately 60–70% of Korea's online room transaction market. It's Airbnb and Trip.com's first premium partner in Korea, named a 2024 Booking.com Advanced Connectivity Partner, and has built strong partnerships with global tech giants.
ONDA is also the first Korean company to be ranked (34th) on Skift's Global PMS Vendor list, positioning itself as a frontrunner in the global hotel tech market. Last year, it was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn Plus program and has been named to the Financial Times' High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific list three consecutive years (2022–2024).
