(Press Release — December 5, 2022) ONDA, a leading hospitality tech company, is partnering with Ulsan Metropolitan City to run a hotel discount promotion aimed at boosting regional tourism.

On December 5, ONDA launched a Coupang Live broadcast in collaboration with Ulsan City Hall and the Ulsan Tourism Foundation, offering up to 30% off at four major hotels: Mercure Ambassador Ulsan, Lotte Hotel Ulsan, Lotte City Hotel Ulsan, and Shilla Stay Ulsan. Thanks to special funding from the Ulsan Tourism Foundation, the first 1,000 customers also receive an instant ₩10,000 discount coupon at checkout.

Additionally, the Foundation is giving away two integrated tickets to the Whale Culture District to 700 customers who book during the event.

The Coupang Live broadcast aired tonight at 7 PM for one hour, and promotional packages remain available in Coupang's Travel/Tickets category through December 11.

Ulsan has emerged as an attractive tourism destination in recent months. ONDA's internal data shows that total accommodation revenue in Ulsan rose 22.63% year-over-year in Q3. According to the Korea Tourism Data Lab, searches for destinations in Ulsan's Nam-gu and northern districts jumped 30–44% compared to last year, signaling rapidly growing tourism demand.

When ONDA held a special Ulsan edition of Coupang Live in November, over 40,000 viewers tuned in, and the 1,000-customer early-bird discount sold out quickly.

An ONDA representative said, "Ulsan is gaining attention as a fresh tourism hub in the southeast. Thanks to strong support from Ulsan City and the Ulsan Tourism Foundation, we were able to put together a compelling promotion."

ONDA covers approximately 70% of Korea's online room distribution market and is a hospitality tech and data company with deep partnerships with global platforms. It was Airbnb's first preferred partner in Korea and Google Hotels' first domestic partner.

The company was recently selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baby Unicorn program and ranked 7th among Korean tech companies in the Financial Times' 2022 Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies list. It also became the first Korean firm to appear on Skift's Global PMS Vendor ranking, debuting at #34 and cementing its position as a global hotel tech leader. <end>
