# 2022 Korea Travel Landscape Map

Hi, we're **ONDA** — the hospitality B2B platform driving digitalization in Korea's accommodation industry.

Today, ONDA is releasing Korea's first-ever **2022 Korea Travel Landscape Map**.

### What is the 2022 Korea Travel Landscape Map?

Korea Travel Landscape Map

It's a bird's-eye view of the entire Korean travel ecosystem — domestic and international players shaping the industry and pushing it forward. At a glance, you can see who's who across the value chain.

The map breaks down into **23 categories and 295 brands**: △travel planning platforms △search portals △metasearch △domestic & international OTAs △accommodation-sharing platforms △commerce △travel agencies △hotel solution providers △tours & activities △domestic & international hotel chains △domestic & international airlines △ground transportation △travel & accommodation media.

#### What stands out in this map?

Beyond the obvious — search engines, airlines, hotels, transport — you'll see the digital-first shift: **OTAs, commerce players, metasearch sites**. The map also highlights **hospitality tech companies and travel media** that are actively raising the bar for the industry.

Pay attention to the **D2C (Direct to Customer)** movement. Properties are cutting out middlemen, reducing channel fees, and maximizing direct revenue. Case in point: **Google Hotels**. Launched by the world's biggest search engine, it uses Google's massive data infrastructure to power hotel search — and last July, ONDA became one of the first domestic partners to connect its properties to the platform.

ONDA has always been about advancing the travel industry through digitalization. We're releasing this map because we believe in open collaboration — and we want to make it easier for companies, agencies, and international players to find the right partners.

We'll keep this map updated. Think of it as a living resource — for businesses, government bodies, local governments, and overseas companies looking to enter the Korean market.
