- H1 2024 ONDA lodging sales grew roughly 15% year-over-year. Domestic travel demand held steady while tourism spending dipped slightly amid ongoing economic headwinds.
- June emerged as the new early peak season — recording the highest H1 2024 revenue. The lodging sale festivals in February and March also drove strong growth.
- The premiumization trend continued: hotels, resorts, and pool villas gained share. Average booking values dropped slightly across the board.
- Korea's pension and pool villa market is polarizing — budget properties are thriving, and so is demand for luxury stays.
- Global OTAs and D2C channels posted notable growth. Lodging distribution is fragmenting: mobility apps, closed membership platforms, and vertical travel services are all gaining ground.
