The festival is a government-backed discount voucher initiative organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
This year, the program focuses on regional tourism — vouchers will only be available for properties outside the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon metro area.

Eligible properties span a wide range of categories: tourist hotels, tourist pensions, hanok stays, lodging businesses, and rural guesthouses — basically pensions, hotels, motels, resorts, and guesthouses.
Note that residences, foreign city homestays, camping sites, caravans, and glamping facilities are not eligible.
The deal? Guests get ₩30,000 off on domestic stays over ₩50,000. Three rounds are planned:
First, 90,000 vouchers will be issued from February 7–25 (covering the Lunar New Year holidays). Then roughly 110,000 more from February 27 to April 7 (celebrating Travel Month in March).
A third round is set for June.
Will this actually help property owners?
In ONDA's November 2023 lodging industry survey, hoteliers ranked this program as the most helpful government support measure.

Among past participants, 54% said the festival prompted them to book a trip, and 46% visited a new destination — clear proof the program drives real demand.
This year's Accommodation Sale Festa is a prime opportunity to fill your rooms during key travel windows.
