Apply through ONDA for the 2024 Stay Sale Festa
Remember the Stay Sale Festa in February and March? The government program offered ₩30,000 discount coupons on domestic stays over ₩50,000 — designed to boost regional tourism.
ONDA, your best friend in small-to-midsize hospitality, is back with another round. We're recruiting properties for the upcoming accommodation discount program (final name TBD) launching in June, Korea's official "Travel Month."
Eligible properties include tourism accommodation businesses, tourism pension operators, rural lodging providers, and more — think pensions, hotels, motels, resorts, and guesthouses.
This time, the program runs in two phases: late May and June. From May 28–30, a special three-day regional collaboration event will distribute ~45,000 coupons offering ₩50,000 off bookings over ₩70,000.
The main June event will issue ~205,000 coupons: ₩30,000 off for bookings ≥₩70,000 and ₩20,000 off for bookings under ₩70,000.
Does this actually help property owners? Absolutely.
OTAs prioritize participating properties in search rankings, and coupons typically sell out before the official campaign ends.
In ONDA's November 2023 hospitality industry survey, accommodation discount programs were voted the most helpful government support initiative.
A traveler survey on the Festa program found that 54% planned trips specifically because of the promotion, and 46% visited new destinations — clear evidence it drives domestic travel demand.
This May–June program is another opportunity to grow your bookings.
