# Spend 2 Hours a Day With ChatGPT

Hello. Today we're talking about something not directly tied to travel or lodging — but poised to reshape how we live and work: **LLM-based AI.**

First, a quick definition. LLMs (Large Language Models) are AI systems trained on massive amounts of text data to understand and generate natural language. ChatGPT is the most famous example.

If that sounds abstract, here's what happened to us. On July 2, our team attended a seminar called "[Big Tech LLM Strategy: From a 30-Year Developer](https://event-us.kr/startupall/event/87096)." One slide hit like a sledgehammer.

Here's the idea. We equate **using a web browser** — Chrome, Safari, Naver Whale, Edge — with **using the internet**.

Technically, the internet is the infrastructure: email, websites, file transfers. A browser is just a tool to **view** web pages served by remote servers.

But nobody makes that distinction. We say "I'm going online" when we open Chrome. The browser **was** the internet for most people. It made the internet accessible. It became part of daily life.

Same with smartphones. Before the iPhone, plenty of "smartphones" existed — devices with web browsers, email, wireless data. But the iPhone's interface and the App Store **made smartphones ubiquitous**.

In other words, **the web browser defined the internet era. The iPhone defined the smartphone era.**

Now, ChatGPT is doing that for AI.

We've been hearing "AI will change the world" for years. But before ChatGPT, the AI that actually touched our daily lives was... robot vacuums? That's about it.

ChatGPT changed that overnight. AI suddenly got **useful**. And unlike the internet or smartphones — which were about **consuming** information and entertainment — ChatGPT is about **creating**.

Early adopters of browsers and smartphones got faster access to information. ChatGPT goes further:

- **Information retrieval**: Detailed answers to complex questions, explanations on any topic.
- **Creative support**: Writing, brainstorming, translation, ideation.
- **Conversation**: Natural dialogue that helps you think through problems and make decisions.

This is about **productivity**. ChatGPT helps you do more work, better work, faster work. It makes you **more competitive**.

At that seminar, Jongheon Park (AI Advisor, Ninefolders) gave us one directive: **spend two hours a day with an LLM.**

Because here's the quote going around:

> "**AI won't steal your job. But someone who uses AI will take the job of someone who doesn't.**"

It's exhausting. The world keeps demanding we learn new things. But there's no choice. Just like we all learned to use smartphones and the internet, we're going to have to get comfortable with AI.

For what it's worth, I pay for two LLM services: **ChatGPT and Perplexity**.

ChatGPT wrote half of this post. I use it as a creative tool. Perplexity searches the web in real time and summarizes information — it's replacing Naver and Google searches in my workflow.

![(ChatGPT for everyday tasks, Perplexity for web-powered research)](https://zqcfqfqgiyckyhazcfrk.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/blog-images/webflow/6316f3f76130788ec2d762dd/66b07674e9ac437aa4850eed_66b0747af7b38a647435baf0_image_20_50_.png)

Example: I asked both tools about **Grandbay by Sotetsuites** (a property we run with ONDAnsong). ChatGPT couldn't pull current information. Perplexity nailed it — searched the web, organized the results, gave me exactly what I needed.

Point is, **picking the right LLM tool for your needs** is becoming a core skill. And it's only going to matter more.
