A dog-friendly pension near Seoul where you can enjoy the feel of camping

A Nationwide Accommodation Tour with Your Dog

05. Glamdog: A Camping-Themed Pet Pension on Incheon's Yeongheung Island

While searching for camping spots near Seoul, I discovered Glamdog on Incheon's Yeongheung Island—a pet-friendly pension that captures the camping vibe. Honestly, Yeongheung Island wasn't on my radar as a travel destination, but as always, any new experience with my dog gets me excited. So I carved out a weekday to visit.

After arriving at Glamdog on Yeongheung Island, I headed straight to the parking lot. It's located behind the building, which felt intentional—minimizing the distance you need to carry your dog and luggage while keeping car safety risks low. One thing to note: the dog exercise area faces a two-lane road, so you need to be careful when opening and closing the fence gate to prevent dogs from darting out.

Rooms That Feel Like Camping with Your Dog

Glamdog—a blend of "glamping" and "dog"—greets you with camping-themed rooms that live up to the name.

What I loved most was the floor-level table. It's a thoughtful touch that lets dogs enjoy mealtime comfortably without having to stand on their hind legs.

Beyond the camping gear that fits the theme, all the essential pet supplies are provided—so convenient that you don't need to pack much yourself.

Sometimes you visit a pet-friendly place and find zero pet amenities. But when a property covers the basics, it shows care not just for the dogs but for their owners too. That kind of service sticks with you.

Glamdog's Yeongheung Island location is dotted with photo zones, including a dog tent inside the room. It's even medium-dog-sized, which was a pleasant surprise. My dog clearly loved it—spent the whole stay grinning inside that tent. We took home some truly special memories from that overnight trip.

Separate Yet Together: The Comfort of a Fenced Space

Step outside your room and you'll find each unit has its own fenced artificial turf area. This was my favorite feature. A common mistake dog owners make is assuming all dogs get along with everyone. But for more sensitive pups, a simple fence can provide a little peace and breathing room.

In the evening, you can fire up a barbecue on the turf space right in front of your room.

Beyond the fences lies the dog exercise area, which is immaculately maintained with what feels like joint-friendly turf. My dog ran around freely, and I felt completely at ease about it.

A Hinoki Bath and Drying Room—Just for Dogs

But the real showstopper? The hinoki wood bath. With a dedicated dog tub, I finally tackled that overdue bath I'd been putting off. The size was perfect for a medium dog—so ideal, in fact, that I wanted to buy one. My dog looked completely confused by the unexpected spa treatment.

And then there's the dog drying room—the ultimate finishing touch for any dog bath. The fact that I could give my dog a full bath so easily made Glamdog unforgettable.

Both humans and dogs got to heal and experience camping vibes—if only indirectly.

If you want to unplug from daily life and recharge somewhere close to Seoul, I'd recommend Glamdog on Yeongheung Island. The pension sits right by the Incheon coast, so you get sun-drenched ocean views by day and stunning night scenery after dark.
