Hello. This is ONDA, the digital hospitality platform serving Korea's accommodation ecosystem.
ONDA's Field Notes brings you candid interviews with property owners and hospitality experts using our platform.
This time, we sit down with the owner of Sloskip, a stylish pension in Yangyang, Gangwon-do.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your property.
Hi. I've been in the hospitality business for nearly a decade. Right now I'm running Sloskip, a pension in Yangyang.
Sloskip sits at the quiet end of Dongho Beach. Guests wake up to gentle waves and real downtime.
What makes us different is the campfire vibe on our terrace. Every room has individual climate control and a fully stocked kitchenette—guests really settle in.

Sloskip has this effortlessly cool, laid-back aesthetic. Who's your typical guest?
Mostly people in their 20s and 30s.
Friend groups, couples, solo travelers—people looking to unplug for a bit.
How did you first hear about Pension Plus?
I discovered ONDA when I was running a hostel in Seoul. When I moved to Yangyang and opened the pension, signing up for Pension Plus was an easy call.
Before that, I was using another booking system.
Pension Plus is just way easier to work with. That's why I stuck around.

What's your favorite feature in Pension Plus?
The partner dashboard is simple to use and connects to tons of sales channels all at once. That's huge.
Pricing is flexible too—standard rates, seasonal rates, last-minute deals. I can adjust everything on the fly.

Would you recommend ONDA to other pension owners?
Absolutely.
I haven't tried every system out there, but Pension Plus wins on ease of use.
A lot of younger folks are getting into hospitality these days, but plenty of older operators are still running the show. When the tool is simple, everyone benefits.
That wraps up our interview with the owner of Sloskip—a pension that's earned a loyal following among Gen Z and Millennials in Yangyang.
If you've been on the fence about which booking system to use, hopefully this conversation helped.
Stay tuned for the next Field Notes interview.
