The biggest advantage — and challenge — of online sales? Too many channels to sell through.
That means when you're just starting out, or when sales dip on a channel that used to perform well, it's hard to know where to start fixing things.
ONDA answers the questions property owners ask most.
Q) Can I manage online pension sales solo (with ONDA's help)?
A) If you run a standalone pension or a property with five rooms or fewer, one person can handle it. Smaller properties with similar room layouts share common maintenance tasks, making solo operations efficient. That said, if every room has a different theme or floor plan, the cleaning and prep time can add up fast — even with just a few rooms.
Q) If I'm selling my pension online for the first time, which channel should I focus on?
A) If you're new to running a pension, you should open up on every domestic and international channel. That's what ONDA does best — and where we can help you most.

As the chart shows, every sales channel has grown steadily post-COVID. The hospitality industry is still on an upward trajectory — growth potential exists across the board.
No one can predict which channel will work best for your property. Every property performs differently on different platforms. You need to connect to all channels and let the data tell you where your audience is.
Q) Still, some channels must be better fits for certain pensions. How do I find mine?
A) First, check out our guide '9 Types of Online Accommodation Sales Channels' to see what's out there.
In general, it's hard to say one channel definitively suits one type of property. Booking rates depend on a mix of factors: location, price, amenities, and more.
That said, Airbnb tends to perform well for "aesthetic properties" — cozy, photogenic spaces with character.
Naver works well for themed properties: pools, kids' villas, pet-friendly stays. Those get more visibility in Naver's algorithm.
In competitive areas with lots of properties, paid advertising matters. In those cases, Yanolja and Yeogi Eottae — where ad efficiency is high — can be strong channels to lean into.
If your property has a clear theme, it might click with a specific platform. But here's the thing: a room that's popular on Channel A is likely to be popular on Channel B, too. The best strategy? Build a competitive property and distribute it everywhere to maximize customer touchpoints.
Q) How do I know if my pension is selling well or not?
A) Most owners compare their property to nearby ones. But that's not a fair comparison — room rates, quality, scale, and amenities are all different.
Refer to our guide 'How Should I Price My Rooms?' and objectively assess whether you're hitting your target occupancy rate or if you have too many empty rooms.
Q) Do I have to participate in promotions run by sales channels?
A) Yes. Always participate in channel promotions. Think of it this way: normally, you'd have to pay high advertising fees to appear at the top of search results. But by joining a promotion, you get featured in a special deal section — without the extra cost.
Platforms also want promotions to succeed, so they push promotional messages to customers. More promotions = more exposure. There's no downside.
Q) Are there key events I should plan for every year? What pricing strategy should I use?
A) As more companies shift to flexible PTO, the intensity of the peak summer vacation season is spreading out. Meanwhile, more travelers are taking advantage of long weekends and bridge holidays.
So instead of setting extreme peak-season prices, consider keeping rates closer to your off-peak pricing. Position yourself as a fair, no-gouging property. That builds loyalty and repeat bookings.

As the graph shows, government initiatives like the Accommodation Sale Festa (숙박대전) are worth joining. Last year, ONDA saw more bookings in June than in July or August — peak season. October and November also performed surprisingly well. That's the power of a well-promoted national campaign.
It's a government-backed effort to revive domestic hospitality. Take advantage of the coupon benefits and boost your booking rates.
