The OTA section is split into two parts: **platforms focused on accommodation and flights (like Booking.com and Expedia), and platforms specializing in tours and activities.**

Take Booking.com. **The U.S. accounts for the largest share of traffic, but demand from Europe and elsewhere is strong.** However, for Korean activity listings, you can't search by country — results default to major cities like Seoul or Daegu.

### **Seoul Ranks #1 for Solo Travel**

[**👉\[Full story\]**](https://www.hankyung.com/article/202501314876g)

From January to November last year, Seoul welcomed 12.12 million international tourists — **95% of pre-COVID 2019 levels.** The city also earned 'Best MICE City' for the 10th straight year at the 2024 Global Traveler Reader Awards, further cementing its global reputation.

Seoul was also named **the #1 city for solo travelers** by TripAdvisor. The blend of tradition and modernity, plus 24-hour safe public transport, won international travelers over.

This year, the Seoul city government plans to roll out special content for individual travelers, including 'Seoul Edition 25' and 'Soul Spot.' The goal: achieve the **'3·3·7·7 Tourism Era'** — 30 million visitors, ₩3 million spending per visitor, 7-day average stay, and 70% return rate.
